develop and assert positions in defining and implementing national
library and information policy.

support harmonization of library bills and regulations with
the European directives.

work toward implementation of international technological standards
in library and information services.

coordinate and support partnership initiatives between libraries
in carrying out their activities.
To
launch new projects and events with local, national and international
significance on general library issues as well as in specific
priority areas.
To
continue its activities as a leader of continuing education
for librarians and information specialists, by putting efforts
to strengthen the Center for Continuing Education for Librarians.
To
collaborate with other similar NGOs and support the integration
of country’s book printing & disseminating sector.
